A travel fee of $1.50/mile will be added to all events further than 10 miles from the farm.
There will be a 50% non-refundable deposit required at booking and payment in full the day of the event.
We will provide hand sanitizer and request all participants wash or sanitize their hands before and after handling animals for the health and safety of the animals and your humans.
Any permissions and permits that may be required are the responsibility of the client to obtain in advance (for example: at a public park).
*Please note we do not rent animals - we are a service-only business.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Events – Flying L Farm is available for events 7 days a week. Events typically occur between the hours of 10 am – 5 pm or daylight hours, but depending on the day, we are able to be flexible.
Phone/Email - Due to the nature of our job, we are not always in the office but often at events or taking care of animals. We strive to answer emails, calls, and reservation request forms within 3 days. Please leave us a voicemail if we miss your call so we can give you a call back, but the best way to book an event or receive availability/price quote is to follow the procedure below. Please note, that we do not give availability or book over the phone.
HOW DO I BOOK AN EVENT?
Fill out and submit the reservation request form. This form asks for all the important information that we need to move forward and helps us keep all the details organized in one place.
Once the form is submitted, you will receive an initial email response within 3 business days with a projected quote and some basic information.
If you would like to confirm the booking, PLEASE RESPOND to the email with the best time to reach you, and I will reach out to discuss the particulars of your location and let you know what, if any, accommodations we may need.

If you do not receive an initial email or a confirmation email within that time frame, please check your spam and then text us at 509.860.3819 with the name listed on the form and when it was submitted.
AREA NEEDED:
Size requirements: 20x20 foot area, but can usually accommodate a variety of areas -Just ask! We prefer to have a grassy area but can set up on concrete if temperatures allow. We will bring wood shavings to cover the area and clean up afterward. There is a $50 charge for concrete setup.
CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY
If you are considering canceling your event due to COVID, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible. We have attempted to keep our payment policy flexible in case of emergencies, but for non-emergent cancellations, giving us notice can help us fill your time slot since last-minute cancellations do impact small businesses. Any payment for a canceled event can be used for up to one year from the date of your canceled event if we are given a 1 weeks’ notice of cancellation/rescheduling. If you cancel within 1 week of your event, your deposit/payment will not be transferable to a future event.
WHAT TIME CAN WE EXPECT THE PETTING ZOO TO ARRIVE?
We will arrive approximately 30 - 45 minutes before start time. We require a parking place for a truck towing a horse trailer as close as possible to the set-up location - please keep in mind our staff is carrying animals, fencing, and supplies for the petting zoo.
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES?
The cost for travel is $1.50 per mile round-trip outside of 10 miles from our home-base to the event address and will be included in the projected invoice you receive as a part of initial response to your reservation request form. Our mileage fee may change as gas prices in our area fluctuate. If we need to setup on a concrete area the will be an additional charge of $50.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I SCHEDULE MY EVENT?
We usually recommend scheduling your event at least 1-to 2 months ahead of time. However, if there’s a date you know you want, the best thing to do is to book!
